Today, Apple has released the 3G iPhone, as well as firmware version 2.0 for the original iPhone. At this time, unlocking services are not available for either of these. Please do NOT upgrade your existing iPhone`s firmware to the new version at this time. We will post information about a possible solution when it becomes available. Also, while work is in progress with the 3G iPhone, we have no estimate as to the availability of services for it. Please do not call or email us to ask about this. We will post an announcement if unlocking services for this model are available.
28 May 2008 - New Firmware Versions Available for American N95-3 and N95-4 8GB
It is our pleasure to announce the availability of new firmware versions for the North American N95-3 and N95-4 8GB. Version 20.2.011 is now available for the N95-3 and 20.2.005 is now available for the N95-4 8GB. We are able to flash these versions to all N95-3 and N95-4 phones, including those damaged by previous failed flashing attempts. This service is available for walk- in customers, or can be ordered for postal service on our Online Shop.
8 May 2008 - New Nokia Services Now Available
We are pleased to announce new firmwares and services for select Nokia phones. We now offer flashing services for the Nokia N75, with AT&T branded 20.1.172, or unbranded 10.2.055 available for all phones, regardless of their present version. We are also now offering flashing for American (HSDPA 850/1900) N95-4 8GB phones. We are able to flash version 1.2.011 to all N95-4 phones, including those damaged by failed previous flashes. Finally, version 200.34.73 is now available for select E90 language packs. This adds Flash Lite 3 and in- browser Flash video support. These services are available in person at our Boston location, as well as via our Online Shop and postal service.
28 Apr 2008 - Nokia E62 Flashing Now Available!
iUnlock is very excited to finally announce flashing services for the Nokia E62. We now have version 2.0618.06.17 available with common service provider customizations, or in a generic Nokia (uncustomized) version. The generic Nokia version will remove restrictions on unsigned applications. These versions are intended for American E62 phones and will maintain the keypad symbol layout. This service is now available in-store or via postal service from our Online Shop.
18 Mar 2008 - Nokia N95 21.0.016 Firmware Now Available
We are pleased to announce availability of firmware version 21.0.016 for the N95-1. With this firmware, Nokia has added support for Adobe Flash Lite 3, updated the web browser to support Flash elements, and has improved general performance. Flashing services are available in- store, or phones may be sent to us via our Online Shop. We are also able to repair dead (software damaged) phones while upgrading them to this version.
10 Mar 2008 - iPhone Update
We are pleased to officially announce unlocking services for iPhones with versions 1.1.2, 1.1.3 and 1.1.4. With this announcement, our service is currently inclusive of all versions available. Postal and walk-in unlocking is available for these new versions. At this time, Remote Unlocking is only available for version 1.1.1 or lower. Unfortunately, new security in the phone prevents us from offering free upgrade services for customers with phones unlocked with us before. Instead, we now offer upgrades to version 1.1.4 (while remaining unlocked) for previous customers at 50% off of the price of unlocking. Your phone`s serial number must be on file to qualify. Please contact us to arrange upgrades.
29 Nov 2007 - New Nokia Firmware Versions Now Available
It is our pleasure to announce the availability of new firmware versions for the Nokia N95 and N73. The much requested 20.0.015 is now available for the N95, and N73 4.0736.3.2.1 (Music Edition) is now available for all languages and regions. These versions are available for postal service via our website or walk- in service in our Boston location.
26 Nov 2007 - iPhone Update
We are very excited to announce Remote, Postal, and Walk-In Unlocking services for iPhones upgraded to firmware version 1.1.2 and/or modem firmware version 04.02.13_G (excluding phones with version 1.1.2 from the factory). Our instruction guides have been updated with specific details for new versions, and will be sent to customers who purchase remote services. We have also added a section to our instructions that allows customers who remotely unlocked iPhones with us before to upgrade them to version 1.1.2 without re-locking the phone. If you purchased remote services from us before, please refresh the original instructions page that you were given to view the new upgrade instructions. Note: UK and German iPhones are not supported at this time. We hope to add support for them soon.
